Making Microsoft™ Word work for you

MS Word has hundreds of features - that most people don’t know how to use or control. This one-day workshop helps Word users take control of features that often annoy or irritate and shows users how to harness features that will save them hours of valuable time. The workshop also discusses work flow processes and tips for managing files. Instead of the “all day workshop for everyone” format, a “menu” of topics and times is circulated in advance of the workshop and people attend only those sessions they want or need. For example, there might be a session “configuring Word to suit your working style” from 0900 to 0930, followed by a session on section breaks from 0930 to 1045. Staff “drop in” and “drop out” according to their needs and interests throughout the day. For organizations interested in building staff capacity to continue improving their mastery of these tediously minute but often critical skills, the workshop can be used as the basis for establishing an in-house knowledge and mentoring network.
