A workshop for people in senior positions who have a Basic level of English language fluency and who need to use English infrequently and most often for formal or semi-formal occasions. The programme introduces a number of simple but powerful techniques for quickly preparing effective introductions, welcome addresses, closing remarks and brief overviews of departmental activities suitable for visiting delegations, conferences, meetings and other special occasions. Using a unique approach, participants create their own list of “good presentation techniques” from mini-presentations. The workshop offers practical skills and builds confidence, the key ingredient of any presentation.
